The Chef BBQ is one of Chicago’s most anticipated culinary and drink experiences of summer, and Breakthru Beverage Illinois was thrilled to participate again this July.
A mid-July heat wave didn’t deter guests from showing up in droves to eat, drink and celebrate local at Chicago’s Lincoln Park, the home to Green City’s outdoor farmers market as well as this annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the event support Green City Market’s community programs and year-round markets.
Along with enjoying creations from more than 100 of Chicago’s best chefs, guests stopped by the Breakthru Beverage tent to sample custom cocktails, beer and wine from our brand partners.

All five cocktails were created using fresh herbs, fruit or veggies from the market — from a refreshing strawberry-rhubarb drink with Avua Cachaça to a summer-inspired Stumpy’s Vodka cocktail with fresh garden tomatoes, citrus and celery.
Beers from BuckleDown Brewing, Spiteful Brewing and Dogfish Head were also available to sample, along with canned wines from Scarpetta.
